Takway
“Poor man’s asparagus” is what people of Capiz call the takway vegetable. It is a cheap, simple, but difficult-to-prepare dish as it takes hours to remove the outer skin of each of the very slim tendrils.
Takway is boiled and seasoned with vinegar and salt.
