Do strawberries even grow in such a hot tropical country like the Philippines?

Yes, in the high-altitude mountainous regions of the island of Luzon!

The city of Baguio is particularly famous for strawberries and strawberry products, such as jam. When Filipinos vacation there, especially during the hot summer months (~April), strawberries are not to be missed.

Since the year 2015 when one was first held, there has been an annual strawberry festival in the province of Benguet. It is in March.
