Sinulbot
Sinulbot is what most Tagalog speakers would simply call minatamis na saging (“sweetened banana” — often the saba variety, stewed in a brown-sugar sauce).
Usage of the word sinulbot is prevalent in the provinces of Mindoro and Marinduque.
There are places where the word sinulbot can also be used to refer to what is more widely known as banana-que, which is saba bananas deep-fried with a coating of brown sugar, then optionally skewered on a thin bamboo stick.
Basically it’s saba banana cooked with brown sugar. It’s a sweet meryenda (snack).
