Panara
Submission by John Robert Rubi.
Panara is a simple yet savoury pastry that’s a typical ‘street food’ sold in parts of Southern Negros. Its main ingredient is monggo (mung beans) wrapped in dough, which is then cooked by deep frying. It is best served with a sauce that’s a mixture of flour, sugar, vinegar, garlic, onion, salt and other seasonings.
