Green and nutritious, pakô is great as a salad!
The Filipino word for edible fiddlehead ferns is pakô. In Brunei and Malaysia, these fiddleheads are called paku midin or miding. The fernbrakes are called kogomi in Japanese and kosari in Korean.
Scientific name: Matteuccia struthiopteris
To compare, the fern called diliman in Tagalog has the scientific name Stenochlaena palustris.
