Fibisco Choco Mallows

Choco Mallows are described by its manufacturer Comfoods as “chocolate-covered marshmallow biscuits individually wrapped in aluminum foil.” Each piece is a chocolate-coated mallow on a cake.

Saang

Saang are conch shells commonly sold from street stalls in the area of Cebu. These gastropods are known as “spider shells” or “scorpion conch” in English and their scientific name is Lambis scorpius.

Chichacorn is a semi-popped style of cornick that uses glutinous corn, which is treated with lime before frying. The name is a combination of the words chicharon (crispy pork rinds) and corn.

Upo is called a bottle gourd in English. It’s a very popular vegetable in the Philippines.

The caimito is a fruit of the tree with the scientific name Chrysophyllum cainito. It is native to Central America and was introduced to the Philippines during the Spanish colonial period.

Star apple is its given name in English.

Maja Blanca

Maja Blanca is a white pudding whose main ingredients are coconut milk and cornstarch.

Itlog ng Antik

Hantik or Antik are weaver ants known for their stinging bites. Their eggs (itlog) are considered a delicacy in the Philippines and are very hard to come by.
