Nido Soup

Nido soup is the Philippine term for the Chinese delicacy Bird’s Nest Soup.

Infamously, the nests are made from birds’ saliva.

The birds whose nests are used can be found in El Nido, an area of Palawan… El Nido is Spanish for “the nest.”

One can buy the Knorr brand of “Nido Oriental Style” soup mix to make this at home. Just add one egg.
