Luyang Dilaw
Photo by Angie Pastor of Luyang Dilaw (Turmeric).
Luyang Dilaw literally translated from Tagalog is “Yellow Ginger,” although according to Western standards of color, turmeric is often much closer to orange.
How is Turmeric used in Philippine cuisine?
The cooks of Pampanga province use it in bringhe, lagat, and dishes that include carabao meat. It is called ange in the Kapampangan language.
Sa inyo naman, sa anu-anong luto ginagamit ang luyang dilaw?
