Kamias

Kamias is the fruit of the tree with the scientific name Averrhoa bilimbi. The fruit grows in clusters on trees. It is used as a souring agent in the Filipino dishes paksiw and sinigang.

Also spelled as kamiyas, kamyas or camias.

Pias is the Pangasinan term for this fruit.

Kamias is also dried and candied. More recently, it has served as a juice flavor.
