Danggit
Malutong na Danggit (Crispy Siganid) by Jeric Travis.
Danggit is one of the dried fishes widely eaten in the Philippines with vinegar and steamed rice.
The Tagalog word for ‘fish’ is isda.
Dried fish is literally pinatuyong isda or tuyong isda (dry fish). The two-word phrase can be simply shortened to tuyo, but that word more often refers to a specific kind of dried fish.
