Bistek

Assumed to be from the American English ‘beefsteak’
Likely influenced by the Spanish ‘biftec’ as well
Bistek is beefsteak marinated in calamansi (citrus) before frying. In a thin sauce of its own juices. Served with onions, potatoes, and steamed white rice.

Called bistig baka in the Kapampangan language.
