Belekoy
Belekoy is a sweet Filipino candy from the province of Bulacan.
Its usual ingredients are flour, sugar, vanilla, and sesame seeds.

It’s makunat!
The Belekoy I knew as a child had a toasty flavor – was it the caramelized sugar or toasted sesame oil? Also, it had somewhat the consistency of gum drops – black and almost translucent. Chewy, but didn’t stick to the teeth.
This was my favorite candy and I wonder where in California could I get them now?
