Chicken Afritada with Hotdog Slices by Mommy Shelette

Spelled as apritada or apretada in orthodox Tagalog, but now more stylistically written in the Filipino langauge as afritada, having been derived from the Spanish word fritada, meaning fried.

Filipino afritada is a chunky meat stew made colorful with the addition of green peppers, onions, tomatoes and potatoes.

Here in this version, slices of Filipino-style hotdogs, string beans and carrots are the supporting ingredients to the chicken.
