Uraro Cookies

Uraro Cookies

Uraro Cookies of Pampanga… by Angie Pastor. For orders in Manila, 09369815475.

In the Philippines, uraro is the name for arrowroot cookies.

These cookies are made from arrowroot flour, which gives them their powdery texture.

Dry and crunchy, they have a simple clean flavor that is not too sweet. Not as dry as puto seko, they are slightly buttery and milky.

The provinces of Laguna and Quezon are also known for uraro.
