Filipino breakfast
The Filipino word for “breakfast” is agahan or almusal. Agahan is the native Tagalog word derived from aga, which means early. Almusal is from the Spanish almuerzo, which oddly enough means lunch, not breakfast.
Ano ang paborito nating agahan? Siguro any of the silog combos! Pero kapag walang oras para magluto, tinapay na lang gaya ng pandesal or sliced bread. Mabuti kung may palaman, gaya ng mantikilya o keso.

Vigan Longganisa is known for being saltier than most Philippine sausages — that’s why it is best enjoyed with Sukang Iloko (the local vinegar).
