“Sampalok juice. Tangy, sweet tamarind goodness in liquid form.”
Sampalok is the Tagalog word for “tamarind.”
Other juice drink variants featuring authentic Filipino flavors made by the Locally company of the Philippines: Mangosteenie Miney Mo, Tamarind My Bell, Kamias You Are, You’ve Dalandan It Again!
These bottled drinks are available at most 7-11 store branches in the Philippines.
In other parts of the world… the Jumex company of Mexico sells “Tamarind Nectar” in drink cans!
I would really like to try this.
I’ve come across Mexican tamarind-flavored drinks stateside. I’m guessing they’re as common over in Mexico as bottled Coke… or at least close. Have always wondered why we don’t have tamarind-flavored drinks in the Philippines.
