HotSiLog = Hotdog + Sinangag (Fried Rice) + Itlog (egg)
The rice in most cases is white steamed rice. The eggs are fried, though sometimes soft-boiled or hardboiled eggs are also favored in this combination.
The original Silog is tapsilog, where the tapa refers to cured meat.
Today, there are so many of the triple-treat combos, where the rice and eggs are mainstays, while the third ingredient can be various kinds of meat and even fish.
