Dilis

Dilis are anchovies. The scientific name of this fish is Stolephorus commersonii.
Frequently in the Philippines, anchovies are dried for food. You can snack on cooked dilis or they can be an accompaniment to rice as part of a meal.

Disilog or Dilisilog is a meal combination consisting of Dilis (anchovies), Sinangag (fried rice), and Itlog (egg).
